GOODWILL MESSAGE OF THE YORUBA LEADERSHIP & PEACE INITIATIVE (TYLPI) ON THE OCCASION OF OGIDI DAY FESTIVAL HOLDEN ON SATURDAY, JUNE 19, 2021.
I, Arakunrin Olufemi Adefemiwa, on behalf of the president, Mr. Olusegun K Ahmadu and the entire members of our great organization wish to felicitate with His Royal Highness , Oba Rabiu Oladimeji Sule, The Ologidi of Ogidi and the entire good people of Ogidiland on the Ogidi Day Festival 2021. Chief Abayomi Akérémále, retired Police Commissioner, a chief of Ogidiland and a member of our organization and I have been delegated to duly represent our organization here today.
There is no gainsaying that the Central Planing Committee with the full cooperation of the entire good people of this great land has put in enormous resources to make a huge success of this year’s event.
We in the TYLPI, whose primary objective is to promote, protect and defend the interest of ALL Yoruba anywhere in Nigeria, irrespective of the accident of political history and geography, are very pleased and happy indeed to strongly identify with you our kith and kin, not only in Ogidiland but in all of Kogi State.
It is also of great interest to acknowledge and announce to you Kabiyesi, and the entire good people of Ogidiland that your dear son, our brother, a fellow Yoruba man, and dear compatriot, Mr. Tunde Ipinmisho is a key member of the Management Committee of our organization, The Yoruba Leadership & Peace Initiative.
Suffice to let you know that he is not alone in the organization . We are also very proud to have as a member, your son, Mr. Gabriel Obando.
For a culturally vibrant people who have imbibed the time-honored values of hard-work, tenacity of purpose and remarkable knack for enterprising spirit as a hallmark of the ethos of OMOLUABI naturally associated with the Yoruba, the Ogidi people are surely poised for greater ascendancy.
The aura here today is captivating, the ambience of this event is compelling and the realization of your determination, the strive of the good people of Ogidiland under God is assured. Your tomorrow, I dare say, will be better.
Once again, I congratulate Your Royal Highness and the entire people of this great land.
